Vermont Awards $600K in Regional Marketing Grants

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — The Vermont Division of Tourism and Advertising and marketing has has awarded just below $600,000 in regional advertising grants to 22 organizations to spice up tourism throughout the state.

The Tourism and Financial Restoration Advertising and marketing Grant program was developed to assist financial restoration by supporting regional efforts to extend visitation and tourism-related actions.

The grants are meant to allow native, regional, or statewide organizations to extend shopper spending, assist native companies, and advance neighborhood restoration efforts within the tourism sector.

Vermont Tourism and Advertising and marketing Commissioner Heather Pelham says that because the tourism sector continues its restoration from the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s essential to have assets to draw and invite guests again to Vermont.

“The number of initiatives and initiatives these grants will assist illustrates each the breadth of tourism alternatives across the state and the distinctive character every neighborhood has to supply,” Pelham stated in a press release.

Among the many packages that acquired funding have been the Arlington Arts and Enrichment Program, which can create a multi-day Battenkill Fly and Movie Competition in late April. One other program was funding for the Metropolis of South Burlington to launch a brand new Annual Winter Lights Competition that includes Vermont musicians, locally-made arts, crafts and meals and beverage presents.
