COLUMBUS, Ind. (AP) — A roofer fell by a skylight to his demise at a southern Indiana Sam’s Membership, authorities stated Wednesday.
Pedro Gonzalez, 42, of West Chester, Ohio, was working for an Ohio-based industrial roofing firm when he fell by the skylight on the retailer in Columbus about 2:20 p.m. Tuesday, authorities advised The Republic.
Bartholomew County Coroner Clayton Nolting launched Gonzalez’s identification Wednesday. Nolting estimated the autumn from the skylight was 40 to 50 ft (12.19 to fifteen.24 meters).
Investigators consider the employee was standing up close to the skylight and slipped, falling by the skylight. An investigation is constant.
X-rays indicated the employee suffered a number of fractures to the cranium and cervical backbone within the incident, Nolting’ workplace stated. Gonzalez was pronounced lifeless on the scene.
