EU Not Closing Diplomatic Missions in Kyiv, Foreign Policy Chief Says

BRUSSELS (Reuters) – The European Union is just not withdrawing its diplomatic presence from Ukraine, its overseas coverage chief mentioned on Saturday, after the USA warned that Russian forces may invade at any time.

“The EU and its member states are coordinating their actions in view of the present threats on Ukraine. Our diplomatic missions are usually not closing. They continue to be in Kyiv and proceed to function in assist to EU residents and in cooperation with the Ukrainian authorities,” Josep Borrell mentioned in a press release.

“We recall that any additional army aggression towards Ukraine could have large penalties and extreme price in response,” Borrell mentioned.
